This modest-sized plug stands about 4-1/4" tall (3-3/4" insertable), with a maximum diameter of about 1.4" (just under 1-1/2"). This size definitely does not require "power user" status for insertion. Lubrication is essential, of course, and one should always take things slowly and patiently. But with gentle persistence and relaxation, insertion should not be difficult for anyone with some experience. The smooth taper enhances ease of insertion.
Once inserted, the plug tends to stay in place. I was concerned that the taper nearest the base might be too modest for secure retention, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. Tantus claims that this gentle taper enhances the wearing experience, and there may be some truth to that -- its presence seems to be more noticeable than others I have tried. But it is very comfortable to wear. The silicone surface is mirror-smooth and easy to clean. The flanged base is small enough not to become annoying.
This would be the "desert island" plug to have, in my view -- not too big, yet big enough to make its presence felt.

| Tantus makes great silicone toys and the Ryder is no exception. Many of the other plug designs feel like they are going to pop out or need to be held in or sat on but the Ryder's shape and base ensure it stays nestled in place. The size is a bit on the smallish spectrum and is good for beginners or prep towards bigger things or when you are feeling lazy. Clean up is super easy, just water and soap. Since it is silicone you can even sterilize it if you want to share it or like giving hand me down toys. My Ryder plays nice with all lubes water oil and even silicone based. If you are worried about your silicone lube just test a small patch on the base and see if it gets tacky or changes in any way. |

| Although I am a man I have noticed that anal stimulation feels strangely pleasurable. I know for a fact that I'm not gay. Liking anal stimulation has no correlation to sexual preference at all. That being said I did some shopping online for some adult toys. I finally found this butt plug which had a really good review with it, so I got it. I've gotten my share of toys over the years with butt plugs having the largest variation in quality, until this one. My first silicone toy was this one and it really makes a diference.
It is large enough to have some heft to it but is not so large thta extended use is not out of the question.
It works for both sexes as it is not an imposing size for an more inexperienced user of anal toys |

I've had an anal plug for a number of years and never thought to upgrade it. I actually ordered the Ryder for my lover, who was relatively new to anal play. When I received it, I was surprised that it was a little bigger than my previous plug, and was worried that it would be too big for him. Not the case. It eased in very gradually, unlike the more severe taper of my previous plug. The softer silicone is definitely more comfortable - you get a feeling of fullness, not a feeling of poking. It is also easy to clean.

There aren't any published dimensions on the listing, so I took a gamble. I thought it would be roughly equivalent to this guy: Doc Johnson Anal Plug, Black, Medium but it's significantly smaller. As others said it will stay put, and it is very comfortable, and it IS perfect for extended wear or for beginners. The largest diameter is about 1.25 (not 1.4 like someone else stated)and there is only about 3" insertable.
As with all tantus stuff it's excellent quality and a nice shape. |
