Just good.

Reviewer: J. Latham,
What I liked about this one is that it's not sleazy as some of the other pu guides are. It wasn't able skeeving women or creeping them out. It was straight forward and to the point. Also, the tips were realistic so you don't come off looking like a jerk, like some of those other books that seem to just be out to make men look like idiots in front of women. It's a good one, a keeper, even.

A good overview but needs more depth into the pyschology of women and the apporach itself. A good primer but not definitive.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.

If liked this book. It has a common sense approach and covers most aspects. Right at the start it identifies that confidence is the most important factor in approaching women and gives you sensible techniques to help. There are a few different scenarios with meeting women thrown in, from the girl you see at the bus stop every day to the one off encounter in the street. There is a fair amount of detail on the type of man women look for and how to be that man. I did feel that there was a too much info on sexual positions and that should be left to a good sex guide. I would have prefered more detail on just approaching women, getting over the fear of rejection, making conversation and flirting. On the whole though, it's the best book on the subject I have read.
For the bar, it's great. For other places, not the authority.

Metal Mouth made a great point below in his review. Askmen does make the categorical assumption that we're dealing with only one type of girl here, albeit, in several different places (gym, office, bar . . .) . On the other hand, Askmen recriminates that they're really only interested in profiling seduction strategies for one type of girl anyway. At a bar, there isn't much diversity of personalities. Askmen does a heck of a lot of research into their publications, and they wouldn't put something on the market that isn't worth the oak trees felled to print it.

The book's very title refers to the bar, and it's farfetched that you'll encounter an rocket scientist with a DD-cup at your local saloon. But Askmen's advice on the type of girls who frequent bars and clubs (charismatic, funny, emotionally immature, witty, suspicious but with a tinge of licentiousness. . . ) is very well articulated and superbly appropriate in the American drinking scene. There are more versatile and ambitious books out there, yet for 12 dead presidents, who's gonna complain about wasting money?
